Dry eye syndrome
Chronic dry eye, tired eyes, and screen-related eye strain — approached with acupuncture at Acupuncture Healing Center Chicago.
Overview
About dry eye syndrome
Dry eye is often multifactorial — screen time, meibomian gland dysfunction, autoimmune, or hormonal. TCM connects the eyes primarily to the Liver channel and reads chronic dry eye as Liver Yin or Blood deficiency. Treatment addresses both local circulation around the eyes and the underlying systemic pattern.
Treatment
How we treat it
Fine local needling around the eyes combined with distal Liver-channel points forms the core approach. Herbal formulas for the underlying pattern speed and sustain results. Many patients notice a difference within the first few sessions; sustained relief comes over 2–3 months.
