Coverage

Insurance & Payments

We are in-network with several major health insurance companies. You may also use your HSA or FSA for most of our services.

Overview

Does Insurance Cover Acupuncture?

Many of the major insurance companies do cover acupuncture and chiropractic services. However, coverage is ultimately determined by your specific policy's agreement. In order to utilize your benefits for any of our services including acupuncture, that specific service must be covered by your health insurance policy. Our clinic staff will help you verify your insurance coverage before your visit at no cost.

Note that acupuncture and chiropractic are considered different licensures and will be credentialed separately, so insurance coverage between them may vary.

In-Network

We are contracted with that insurance company and can bill them directly for rendered services. Your costs are lower and coverage is more predictable.

Out-of-Network

We are NOT contracted with that insurance company, which usually does not cover our services unless there is a specific out-of-network benefit that does so.

Other Coverage Factors

Deductible

This is the amount you must pay out of pocket before insurance begins to partially cover services. This varies across insurance plans and policies and does not guarantee coverage.

Out-of-Pocket

This is the accumulated number of out-of-pocket expenses you have spent toward qualified health care services. Once you reach the threshold, insurance begins to cover 100% of your healthcare expenses. This varies across insurance plans and policies and does not guarantee coverage.

Co-Pay / Co-Insurance

A co-pay or co-insurance is an amount set by your insurance policy that you must pay per qualified healthcare service. Your insurance plan pays for the rest. Per current law, all patients are required to pay the co-pay/co-insurance as determined by their insurance policy. This varies across insurance plans and policies.

Accepted Plans

In-Network Insurances

Services and practitioners in-network vary according to current credentialing status and other factors, so coverage is not guaranteed.
