👨⚕️👩⚕️ : Reopening on June 1st, 2020
Starting March 18th, 2020, Acupuncture Healing Center will be closed to observe social distancing until May 30th, 2020. After receiving recommendation for ALL clinics to close from ILSA (Illinois Society of Acupuncturists), we realized the gravity of situation and prioritize your safety over all else, including our own income.
Our herbal shop will remain open during this time, as actual one-on-one contact is not necessary there. You may call 312-225-0024 for ordering herbs.
Our professional recommendation
The COVID-19 outbreak is an actual thing happening, contrary to some differing opinions. As medical professionals, it is our duty to ensure the safety of you and other people around us. Thus, we recommend that everyone remain indoors and restrict as much traveling and exposure as possible.
The goal of the quarantine is to ensure that the disease does not spread as quickly. This way, our fellow medical professionals in the hospital-care system will be able to deliver care efficiently.
If you have an excruiciatingly uncomfortable health condition (no flu symptoms), you may call 312-889-1239 or email us at nbhacupuncture239@gmail.com and we may make an exception for your case and schedule you an appointment.
However, if you are experiencing a fever or respiratory flu symptoms, we recommend self-quarantining and seeking medical guidance from your primary care provider.
Here are a few reminders to help reduce likelihood of infection:
- Wash your hands regularly and frequently used devices
- Avoid touching your face
- If you are not feeling well, stay home
- Avoid situations where you may come into contact with those with flu-like symptoms
- Avoid highly-processed foods, starches, and sugars. The virus has been known to proliferate in individuals that have this kind of diet
- Take the time off to relax and reduce stress
- Use the time to sleep regularly (8 hours per day)
- Get some exercise, some fresh air, and some sun
Keep in mind, we are totally telling you this to get you into healthy routines that are good for you regardless of the presence of a pandemic 😉
You may also take some supplements like Vitamin C to boost immunity. If you’d like more info, you can also contact our office to set up an appointment for consultation on what other herbs and supplements can boost immunity.
