Evaluation
After speaking, we will also use our observational skills to assess your health. This often involves several techniques unique to Eastern medical methodology. The main goal is to know you, your problem and how to resolve it.
Pulse taking
Pulse taking involves palpating the vessels at several locations to obtain real physical information that reflect the physical & emotional state of your body. For example, slow pulses and rapid pulses both indicate different causes.
Tongue inspection
This technique involves inspecting the quality of your tongue, which has many vessels that circulate blood, nutrients, and other fluids to the area. This reveals objective information about the state of your body's blood and organs as well.

Herbal medicine
During your consult, your provider may recommend herbal medicine in the form of powders, pills, or raw tea that you boil. These herbs will augment the treatment, promote health of internal organs, and bring you closer to recovery.
Synergism
The combination of these services greatly improves your rate of recovery. Bodywork relaxes the muscles to permit deeper therapeutic effects of acupuncture. Acupuncture, itself, has been proven to enhance herbal medicine's absorption and effects.

Your condition's recovery time depends on the severity and complexity of your issue, which your provider will estimate for you after evaluation. We will gladly communicate with you throughout your care with us, adjusting our plan if necessary.
